At Brighton Park Neighborhood Council, we take great pride in our work to support the community. Our investments are focused on services that empower and uplift our beloved community of working-class and immigrant individuals in Southwest Chicago.
Youth services account for 40% of our expenditures, which means that we are investing in the future of our community. For example, our after-school program provides a safe and supportive environment for children to learn and grow. We also offer mentorship opportunities and provide access to resources that can help our youth succeed in school and beyond.
Family support services represent another 12% of our investments. We know that families are the backbone of our community, which is why we provide critical resources and support to those in need. For example, We offer counseling services and connect families with other resources to help them thrive.
Community wellness initiatives account for 11% of our expenditures. We believe that a healthy community is a strong community, which is why we invest in programs that promote physical and emotional well-being. For example, our fitness classes and mental health support groups are open to all members of the community.
Immigration support services represent 9% of our investments. We understand that many of our neighbors are immigrants, and we are committed to supporting them in any way we can. For example, we offer legal consultation and assistance with paperwork to help our immigrant neighbors feel safe and secure.
We collaborate with subcontracted community partnerships, which account for 9% of our investments. By working closely with other organizations, we can further our mission of serving the community. For example, we partner with local schools to provide after-school programs and support services to students.
Finally, 7% of our expenditures are dedicated to general operations and management. This includes necessary investments in technology, staffing, and other resources to keep our organization running smoothly.
