In February 2024, BPNC alongside BPNN partners and elected officials joined together to break ground on the BPNN Service Center.
Brighton Park Neighborhood Council is very proud of our parent mentors. Our Parent Mentors are leaders in the classroom and beyond. This holiday season, they lead various projects from neighborhood clean-ups to Christmas card writing.
Youth from Leaders of Tomorrow alongside BPNC's Youth Life Coaches held our first ever Kermes filled with games for children, raffles, creative activities, and a shared meal of pozole.
This year, BPNC in collaboration with New Life Centers and 12th Ward Alderwoman Julia Ramirez's office, hosted several summer barbecues at Kelly Park where youth could meet one another, enjoy a meal, and have a safe space.
BPNC's 14th annual youth summit hosted over fifteen one-hour workshops this year.
On May 16, 2023, we hosted an end-of-year celebration with Kelly College Prep, a community school partner.
We are excited to have a seat at the table and to work alongside other community leaders to ensure that the voices of Brighton Park are heard.
We received almost 800 toy donations that we were able to distribute to youth from the community. It was an event filled with love, joy, and tons of fun!
